In a few short weeks, we will be celebrating Christmas! Yes! It is nearly time for the annual celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
I love Christmas! Do you know why? I love Christmas because Christ’s birth is proof positive that God loves me. Yes, he does. God loves me so much that he was willing to send his only son to be born of a virgin (that’s Christmas), to live among us, and then to die on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. Then God raised his son from the dead, and because I have put my faith, and hope, and trust in Him, I will one day live in heaven with him for all eternity.
The same is true for you if you also have put your faith, and hope, and trust in him. Isn’t that incredible? Isn’t it incredible how much God loves us?
So when you celebrate Christmas this year, think about the fact that Christ’s birth is an expression of God’s love for you.
